Natural herbs and roots have been a veritable source of medicine before the advent of Orthodox drugs and it is still being use today by most of the population, literate and illiterate alike.
The World Health Organization (WHO) estimates that 80 percent of the population of some Asian and African countries presently use natural herbal medicine for some aspects of basic health care.
In order to formulate and adopt programmes relating to the development of good African traditional practices, we decided to go into collaboration and partnership, especially with conventional health practitioners which really increase service and health care provisions, especially in the rural areas/ communities.
Research into this programmes of good African traditional medicine really scale up local production of scientifically evaluated traditional medicines and improve access to medications for the rural dwellers for free health care.
